Six Russian Amazonite beads from the Ural Mountains — faceted cube cut, 6–7mm, in that particular blue-green that is only found in this one region — curve down from a gold stud post into a baroque freshwater pearl. The pearl anchors it. The Amazonite gives it colour and history and an edge of the unexpected.

Amazonite is the stone of the fearless communicator. The finest grade comes from Russia: a deeper, more saturated blue-green with a mineral richness that Peruvian Amazonite does not have. It works on both the Throat and Heart Chakras simultaneously, clearing the channel between what you feel and what you say. Traditional lore calls it the Gambler’s Stone and the Hope Stone. Luck, clarity, courage, and a little wildness.
