Description

Two summer birthstones. One necklace that carries both.

Pearl is the birthstone of June. Peridot is the birthstone of August. Together they span the full arc of summer — and in this necklace, they sit exactly as they should: alternating along a fine 48cm chain, one creamy and luminous, the other bright and verdant green, each catching light in a completely different way.

This is a station necklace — a style defined by stones spaced evenly along the chain rather than clustered at a pendant. It wears closer to the body than a hanging pendant, moves with you, and works across occasions in a way that heavier pieces cannot. Dressed up or down, it simply works.

The pearls are natural white rice freshwater pearls, 9–10mm — the same quality used in our Moonstone & Pearl earrings. The peridot beads are 3mm natural faceted rounds, bright olive-to-lime green with excellent clarity. Both stones are entirely natural. The chain is stainless steel: durable, tarnish-proof, and hypoallergenic — built to last and require almost no maintenance.

Pearl — The June Birthstone
One of the oldest gemstones in history and the primary birthstone for June — worn by royalty, brides, and spiritual leaders across every major civilisation for thousands of years. Unlike every other gemstone, Pearl is produced by a living creature: a single irritant transformed by a mollusc over years into something luminous. In crystal healing, Pearl is associated with the Crown Chakra and is used for:
— Nurturing calm, clarity, and emotional wisdom
— Supporting sincerity, loyalty, and depth of connection
— Bringing gentle, balancing energy to turbulent emotions
— Enhancing integrity, purity of intention, and inner truth

Zodiac resonance: most powerful for Gemini and Cancer.

Peridot — The August Birthstone
One of the few gemstones that forms in only a single colour — its vivid olive-to-lime green is caused by iron within the crystal itself, not by trace elements or treatments. Peridot has been prized since ancient Egypt, where it was called the “gem of the sun” and believed to ward off evil and bring good fortune. In crystal healing, Peridot is associated with the Heart Chakra and is used for:
— Opening the heart and releasing old patterns of guilt or resentment
— Attracting abundance, positivity, and new opportunities
— Strengthening confidence and a sense of personal worth
— Supporting the digestive system and detoxification

Zodiac resonance: most powerful for Leo and Virgo — the two signs that fall in August.

Together
Pearl and Peridot have complementary energies: Pearl brings calm and emotional wisdom; Peridot brings warmth, optimism, and renewed purpose. Worn together they balance heart and mind — and visually, the contrast between creamy white and vivid green is exactly as striking in person as it looks in the photographs.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece — made once, not repeated. A considered gift for a June or August birthday, or simply a piece for someone who deserves something made with care and not available anywhere else.

A note on the stones
Each pearl and peridot bead is a natural gemstone. Rice pearls carry subtle variation in shape and surface lustre — softly irregular and entirely their own, as natural pearls should be. Peridot may show minor natural inclusions. No two necklaces are identical.

Caring for your necklace
The stainless steel chain requires almost no maintenance — it will not tarnish, rust, or discolour with regular wear. Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals. Pearls are sensitive to acids: apply perfume before putting the necklace on, not after. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing.
