These earrings are intentionally simple in concept and quietly detailed in execution. A single 10mm natural 3A Moonstone bead set in an ornate 925 sterling silver leverback clasp — secure, comfortable to wear, and far more considered up close than it first appears. The leverback mechanism means no fumbling with open hooks and no risk of the earring slipping out through the day.

Most “Moonstone” jewellery sold online is lab-created — a synthetic material engineered to mimic the look of Moonstone without containing any. Natural Moonstone is different. The adularescence — the soft, blue-white shimmer that appears to move within the stone as it catches the light — comes from a geological structure formed over millions of years. It is not a coating, not a treatment, not a factory process. You can see the difference when light catches it: the glow is deeper, more complex, and different every time you move.

Caring for your earrings
925 sterling silver is durable but benefits from simple care. Store in the jewellery box when not wearing, and avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, and chlorine — these can accelerate tarnishing. Wipe with a soft dry cloth to maintain shine. The Moonstone bead can be cleansed and recharged by leaving it on a windowsill overnight during a full moon — one of the few crystals that is best charged by moonlight rather than sunlight.
